The Solar Yoga Ashram, formerly The Solar Yoga & Arts Center opened in 1977 and is one of the oldest yoga centers in NYC. It was founded by a group of volunteer teachers, deeply inspired and forever changed by the yoga teachings of our Grand Gurus Dr. Jose Manuel Estrada and Serge Raynaud de la Ferriere.
We are a spiritual, non-sectarian organization committed to supporting individual health, well being, and human harmony through the practice of yoga, while respecting our planet and the Cosmos that sustain us.
